The Sacred Heart

Soon to come.... a full on descriptive entry!

For now... I would like to pray a Novena to the Sacred Heart of Jesus for some particular intentions. I am struggling with the many decisions coming my way regarding how to proceed with post-year in Rome life:  continued study... where? how? what? money, job, living arrangements... health insurance... I have some big decisions before me and no clarity after much much prayer. I would LOVE clarity. And I know of no better way than to pray and especially to pray alongside friends.

If I can petition you to join me in this... well, I would be most grateful. If you're not Catholic and unfamiliar with this type of prayer - it is a prayer prayed for 9 consecutive days (Novena comes from the Latin for 9), often for a specific intention. The # 9 can have a range of meanings: many Scripture commentators will suggest it signifies the conclusion of a matter, finality, judgment; the end of man, the summation of all his works; completeness as the highest digit. However, 10 has connotations of perfection and 9, that which is just shy. Anyways... if any non-Catholics are willing to join me in this, you could just skip any parts you may be uncomfortable with (i.e., the Marian prayers).

Here's the link. Sacred Heart Novena. We'll start tomorrow (Thursday, 4/15)!!!

Thanks friends! I love you!
